Our 3 apartments are located in a Portuguese cottage in the hinterland of the Algarve. Who looks for recovery far from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism, will find pure nature here.
Nevertheless, there is no reason not to spent some days at the seaside, because in approximately 20 minutes of drive you reach Portugals sand and rock beaches at the waterfront.

Size and Layout of this Holiday flat
The cottage has three apartments:
1 with a living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bath-room with shower, for a maximum of 2 persons
1 apartment with bedroom, living room with sofa bed, kitchen with dining area, bath-room with shower, for a maximum of 4 persons
1 apartment with bedroom, living room with sofa bed, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with tub and shower, WC and a wintergarden with toilet, for a maximum of 4 persons
Standard and equipment of this Holiday flat
All apartments have a TV with satellite antenna and an Internet connection via W-Lan. The kitchens are fully furnished and equipped with a 4-burner stove, refrigerator, toaster, cutlery and crockery. The hot water is heated by solar. For the winter months we have got a central heating, which can be operated either by wood or gas.
All guests can use the washing machine and the iron.
The disinfection of our pool is made by an UV lamp. So we can reduce the addition of chlorine to a minimum and avoid the typical chlorine smell and red eyes. The pool is 7.35 m 3.75 m tall and 1.20 m deep. By the low depth it is suitable also for non-swimmers and children.
Transport and parking in the vicinity
The small town of Sao Bartolomeu de Messines is about 4 km away and offers everything you need: supermarkets, banks, post office, medical center, restaurants and a daily farmer's market (except Sundays and public holidays). There is both: a bus and a rail link to Lisbon and Faro (airport). You reach the motorway in about 5 km.
On our property there are parking lots, so that you can drive directly up to the house.
Nearby attractions
A trip to Silves is worth it. The origin of this town dates back to around 1000 BC, and already at times of the Romans was here a remarkable settlement with entrance to the sea over the Arade river.
The great earthquake of 1755 destroyed the town. The remains of the Moorish castle can be visited, where there is also an archaeological museum, which shows up belongings back to the Stone Age. The Ponte Romana, a stone bridge over the river Arade, was reconstructed in the 15th Century after an original from the period of Roman occupation. Silves is home of the mayoralty, tax office and court.

There are several possibilities for sporting activities. Just opposite our Quinta is an equestrian farm, where riding lessons and rides are offered. Likewise, you can book Quad routes there. Die hilly landscape is ideal for cyclists. And the GR13, the Via Algarviana, runs right next to the site.
