The placement of this accommodation is also exclusively chosen. In Grand Bay, heading towards Pereybere, close to a beautiful bay called La Guvette. This wonderful strip of beach can almost only be found by the natives. That is why it is very quiet there the whole week. There is a merely 300 m walk distance to the Grand Bay center. Here you can encounter the most restaurants on the island. There is also something for the night dreamers here too.

Especially called for is the somewhat quiet placement, although the Grand Bay Suites is built directly next to the supermarket Store 2000 and there is only a building separating it from the coastal road, it is still a quiet place. The concept of the owner seems to be: central and with no stress. Indeed you won notice anything of the central placement when standing on a balcony or by the pool. The balconies are all oriented to the inland, therefore fields and mountains can be seen.

Grand Baie Store Plaza was opened two years ago. Today it is one of the best shopping centers in the north. There are around thirty stores in the modern two-storey building. Especially high-quality products and international brands can be found at Grand Baie Store Plaza.

In the shopping center you can find everything you can think of. Most of the shops are clothing stores. Besides there are a perfumeries, as well as several jewellery shops and footwear stores.
On the ground floor there is the caf La Fournaise, an art gallery and four stalls, which offer nice souvenirs and accessories.

In the heart of Grand Baie there is the Grand Baie Bazar. On the way to the bazar you can find a plenty of shops on the right and left side of the road, which sell mostly souvenirs or clothes. At Grand Baie Bazar you can find a variety of stalls, where all kinds of things are offered. There you can find mainly the typical souvenirs.

In Super U Hypermarket, which is located in Grand Baie, a self-caterer gets almost everything he can imagine. Baguette, jam, chocolate, mixed pickles, indian masala - there is nothing you can not find here. Super U has also a wide choice of fresh foods like cheese, meat and fish, vegetables and fruits.Not only ingredients of a decent meal can be bought in the big supermarket, but also things like souvenirs, snorkling equipment, clothes, shoes, books, magazines and newspapers.

The Beach House which exists only since November 2008 is one of the fanciest Restaurants in Grand Baie. It is quite a small restaurant which is located in the centre of Grand Baie directly on the beach.
The ambience and the location of the Beach House are perfect there is no other way of expression! The menu consists mainly of different salads, burgers, seafood and barbeque. Additionally a daily menu of the season is provided. Frequently life-music events as well as other special events like theme-evenings are given in the weekends. Additionally a Ladies-Night is given every Thursday and a Happy-Hour is given every Friday from 6.00 to 7.00 pm.

Right in the centre of Grand Baie, next to Banana Bar and Zanzibar you can find the lovely italian restaurant Don Camillo. The receipts are all originally from Italy and you can chose all kinds of Italian delicacies such as Antipasti, Pasta and Pizza. The ingredients are fresh from Mauritius or imported from Italy.
The homemade Crab Ravioli can be highly recommended and some Mauritians even come from all over the country to have a coffee and the nice Tiramisu.

Happy Rajah provides a North Indian cuisine. The food is very authentic, the prices are suitable and payable and the atmosphere is wonderful. The chef prepares the typical Indian bread still in one of the traditional mud brick oven. Furthermore he prepares some perfect spiced curries with using all the original Indian spices.
