In the middle of the house there is a fountain around which the rooms are ordered. With the 3 bedrooms and 3 on- suite- bathrooms, the villa can accommodate up to 6 persons. The large curved pool winds to the equally spacious veranda. Here you can find on hot summer days, refreshment and relaxation. CHAMAREL

Chamarel itself is a small village but close to it you can find two famous sights.
First you are directed to Cascade Chamarel, which are impressive waterfalls. With a height of 127m they are Mauritius highest waterfalls.

After that you follow a road through sugarcane fields until you reach the Colored Earth of Chamarel. Due to different chemical reactions the earth has 7 different colors. It almost looks like moonscape.

ROCHESTER FALLS - Mauritius

The Rochester Falls are located in the south of Mauritius between the two towns St Flix and Soulliac. The route to the Rochester Falls which is crossing through sugarcane fields is well signed from the main coastal road.
The Rochester Falls are the widest waterfalls in Mauritius. The plenty of freshwater which is coming from the highland of Mauritius is crashing down the interesting shaped lava rocks from a high of almost 10 meters.

LA VANILLE CROCODILE FARM

It is truly a special experience to visit the La Vanille Crocodile Farm. Located in the South of the island Rivire des Anguilles this park shows how Mauritius looked like before sugarcane was cultivated.
But there is a lot more to discover. You can find crocodiles and a lot of other species in a beautiful surrounding.
There is also the worlds biggest turtoise savanna where you can feed and pet giant turtoises. feeding is 10 Rs
While exploring the park more and more you can see iguanas, apes, bats, chameleons, and a lot more. Little exhibitions on the way provide information about the different species.
Impressive is also the Insectarium which accommodates a large collection of butterflies, bugs, spiders, not only from Mauritius but from all over the world.
