About Shangrela Beach Resort:
Shangrela Beach Resort is located in Ambalangoda,
a small village about 15 minutes by car to the famous tourist place Hikkaduwa.
It is situated in quiet surroundings and is next to the Indian Ocean.
There are 25 rooms available equipped with fan, bathroom, hot & cold water, mosquito net and a shower.
All have access to a balcony or terrace with a beautiful sea view.
A big garden and tasty cuisine invite you to relax under palms.

There is also a lovely island of rocks, about 10 minutes by boat away.
As you can see Ambalangoda offers - for example with a moonstone mine,
many masks carvings and a batik manufacture - a quite nice variety.
Near to Shangrela Beach Resort you can visit the centre for traditional dance,
many markets, a typical fishing port and the town centre with shopping facilities.
You can find there connections to the bus & train but also pharmacies and doctors.
15 minutes by car away there is Hikkaduwa attractive for tourists because of its discotheques and coral reefs.
